CyberKnife's specialized robotics and
image-guidance technology make it one of the most
advanced forms of stereotactic radiosurgery
available. Other radiotherapy technology treats
tumors with only a few radiation beams. CyberKnife
can treat a tumor with a hundred or more beams
from almost any angle, and it automatically
adjusts for motion of the patient and the target,
allowing radiation to be delivered more
precisely. This allows for the safe delivery of much
higher doses of radiation to the tumor with
minimal damage to the surrounding tissues.
Treatment is therefore more effective and is
completed in one or more short, 30-90 minute
